About BIG RIVER GROUP AND M.B. Pre-Fab

M.B. Pre-fab in Geelong, Victoria, was acquired by Big River Group in December 2018 and is now proudly named Big River Trade Centre – Breakwater. The Breakwater branch is a multi-award winning roof truss and wall framing manufacturer providing quality timber roof trusses, wall frames and Longreach floor trusses for commercial builders, home builders and owner builders. Big River Group’s commitment to its customers is Quality of Product and Service, both before and after sales.


Who we are

M.B. Pre-Fab was established on 5th September 1977, through a need for good quality wall frames, roof trusses and an unquestionable backup service. The Company started in rented premises in Belmont with one employee. That employee is still with us today. We place the utmost importance on customer service and the quality products. We only use products we would use on our own homes and business. We are now known as Big River Trade Centre – Breakwater, and still offer the same exceptional products and service.
